Back pain is not a clear-cut problem that has a clear-cut solution. Because it comes in many different forms, with many different contributing factors, we take our time to make sure we get to the cause of the problem. For example, low back pain can come from weak muscles, a bulging disc or poor posture among other things. Whereas upper back pain might come from stress, poor posture, or muscular imbalance. These are not the only causes for back pain, therefore we conduct a thorough history and evaluation prior to deciding what the best course of action will be. A recent study reported the pros and cons for chiropractic care for treating low back pain. After the study it was concluded that individuals receiving chiropractic care reported less pain intensity, less disability and more improved function, higher satisfaction with their treatment, and needed less pain medication.
